lo invita al suo castello alla periferia della capitale.
Il suo sogno di fare un viaggio in Gran Bretagna

Dante
Fontana is an antique dealer of Perugia, and is
infatuated with British culture. But he is always
thwarted by his wife and relatives, who see him
as a silly dreamer who gets lost in stories rather
than doing serious work. But Dante does not lose
hope, and plans a vacation to London to learn more
about the habits of the British so much that make
him mad. However, Dante is hard to settle in, and
often makes typical Italian blunders, gaining the
scorn of the highly educated and refined British
public. After taking part in a fox hunt, Dante is
invited by a rich English nobleman who shows him
an ancient Etruscan statuette. Dante says that the
object is a fake and shatters it. Then chased away
by gunfire, Dante takes refuge with a group of young
flower children and with them, takes part in a riot.
Arrested, Dante is sent back to Italy where he resumes
his monotonous work.(WIKI) |

Alberto
Sordi directs and co-stars with Fiona Lewis and Amy Dalby in this
situation comedy with songs. Dante Fontana is an Italian antique
dealer who specializes in items from Britain. When he finally gets
to take his much-anticipated trip to the British Isles to attend
an antique auction, Dante gets into a bidding war with a doughty
duchess at the event, but she invites him back to her castle. The
woman's hip granddaughter Elizabeth takes Dante on a swinging tour
of London to witness mod rockers at play. The culture shock is too
much for Dante who quickly makes plans to return to his wife and
children in Italy. (Here) |

Piero Piccioni Composer; Ennio Morricone Arranger Conductor;
Alberto Sordi Lyrics; Mina Vocals; |
"Breve
amore", sung by Mina, is the Italian version of "You
Never Told Me". The music was composed by Piero Piccioni
as part of the FUMO DI LONDRA [1966] score. Piccioni is
also responsible for arranging and conducting the score,
with the exception of the "You Never Told Me"
vocal, sung by Julie Rogers as well as Lydia MacDonald.
Ennio Morricone was asked to create an appealing orchestration
for the "You Never Told Me" song. One backing
track was made to be used for the Julie Rogers 'Movie version'
and the Lydia MacDonald 'Album version'. The Morricone-arranged
Julie Rogers version is heard over the opening and closing
credits of the film. Number
three in line, using the same backing track, is Mina singing
the Italian version of the song, named "Breve amore".Composer
Piero Piccioni is now also credited for arranging and conducting
the piece. Ennio Morricone is, incorrectly, never credited
for orchestrating Mina's "Breve amore". (CHIMAI)

Rita
Pavone (born 23 August 1945) is an Italian ballad and
rock singer who enjoyed success through the 1960s. Pavone
is also an actress.
In
1962 she participated in the first Festival degli Sconosciuti
("Festival of the Unknown"), a song competition
for amateur artists, winning the contest. Her self-titled
1963 album, led by the hit single "La partita di
pallone" ("The Soccer Game") made her a
national star at 17, and international attention soon
followed. "La partita di pallone" sold over
one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc.[1] Her
recording of "Cuore" ("Heart") also
sold a million copies in 1963, spending nine weeks at
number one in Italy.[1]
In
the summer of 1964 she had chart success in North America
with a record sung in English titled "Remember Me",
backed with "Just Once More". The song reached
#26 in the United States and #16 in Canada.
In
1965, Pavone participated as a musician guest in The Ed
Sullivan Show, becoming a frequent guest there until 1970.
Meanwhile, she scored a string of hits, both with ballads
and rock songs, in Spain, where she became a teen idol.
Pavone enjoyed so much fame in Spain that it was commented,
during a 2005 television documentary from that country,
that such success for a foreign singer there is rare.....(WIKI)
