UK TITLE:LIPS OF LURID BLU An incredibly difficult film to locate and only one of a very few 1970s films never to have been issued on any format so far. This erotic sex thriller,despite lasting 2hours only offers the listener about 10minutes of actual music. Given the film's subject we are of course going to be dealing with a lot of non-thematic work:images of hallucinations,erotic fantasy and psychopathy;snatches of Jazz(A MAN TO RESPECT,GRUPPO). But hope is not lost: there is a lively brass band theme and Morricone has composed a fantastic romantic love theme using piano,strings and the melodic voice of Edda Dell'Orso.Which has many shades of the later ORCA theme! Steven, Indeed, awesome score and very rare movie, but indeed like ORCA (Main Titles) and many others dell'Orso-Morricone masterpieces, very similar theme to 'Malastrana' (Main Title), 'Il Maestro e margherita' (the theme with vocal), outstanding piano-voice-strings! It must to BE released. P.S. You know, some others Dell'Orso works deserves respects too, but not with Morricone, for instance Roberto Pregadio score for 'La Settima Donna', awesome main title with her vocal...

Labbra di Lurido Blu minor note by Steven Dixon _________________________________________________ Despite the film's erotic/thriller content it does have 2 versions of the love theme with Edda's backing. Fans of Edda will adore the dreamy and serine tones in these themes as Morricone used very similar styles in Orca(1977)and the Renzo Zenobi romantic vocal Mari Calmi(Zenobi Arr:Morricone)1978. A real treat for Morricone fans.Let's have a release,please.

I found the movie, my version 111 minutes.Awful quality. I can tell, there is more music than 10 minutes (as Steven mentioned). About the theme in ORCA style, with Dell'Orso voice, this theme also sounds without Edda Dell'Orso voice. But other music is not interesting absolutely, except only one more theme, others and end titles - just some strange electronic sounds. We will make bootleg with John.
